I have a TMI story that is a bit different. My birthday is 10/10/1981 so I wasn’t alive when the incident occurred. However, I never would have been born had the incident never happened.
My Mom was a nurse at Harrisburg hospital at the time. My Father was working for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. He was transferred to TMI after the incident and moved to Harrisburg. They met shortly afterwards, then I happened.
Though their marriage didn’t last, I had a great childhood growing up in central PA. I hope my kids do too as I now have two of my own and reside in Camp Hill. The odd thing is that none of that would have happened without a nuclear accident.
