He was working for Ichthyological Associates – contracted by Met Ed to monitor the fish biology in the river prior to the event. On the day of the event, Met Ed failed to notify the workers. When IA employees heard, there were at least two employees out on the river. Drew was sent out in a boat to tell them that they needed to get back to the office right away.
He then decided not to evacuate, and ending up playing golf with a fellow worker.
