In 2012, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

In March 1979, I was outside at my high school for track practice and then out again delivering The York Dispatch, the evening newspaper with my younger brother. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor too, skin cancer, and thyroid cancer in the seven years prior to my diagnosis.

My classmates and neighbors in East York, 12.33 miles due south as a crow flies were also affected and many have died too soon, too young.

After my recovery from brain surgery – I was very lucky – I wrote a screenplay for a feature film MELTDOWN Based on True Events.

Since 2016, I have been increasing the awareness of the long-terms of effects of being exposed to radiation and the necessity to “GO Green!” now on social media. I have a substantial following, organic, not paid.
