I was a junior in High school and school was let out early, and it was unseasonably warm.
Evacuation Rumors spread and leaving the school was chaotic. My Family didn’t evacuate because of my dad’s job, so we went on with our lives like nothing happened with the exception of no school. I even went to work at Baskin=Robbins serving ice cream.
A week later we went to the movie “the China Syndrome.” The theater was full and one of the news stations was there. When the line was said about the gas cloud being the size of PA, the whole theater started laughing. Rumors spread about the movie saying it was all a publicity stunt.
