On 3/28/1979…My husband & I were already packed & leaving in our car with our 4 yr old & 10 month old children to drive to my brother Jim’s wedding in Missouri when we first heard the news unfolding at TMI.
Our trip was uneventful, but we had left behind our pet cat Ginger in the care of neighbor. About 10 months later, our Ginger was diagnosed with THYROID CANCER. Our vet said that he had treated at least 8 other cats WITH THYROID CANCER in that time after TMI — which he had never seen that many in short time period. Ginger died soon afterwards.
