I was 7 months pregnant when TMI Started…or should I say became public.
After trying to conceive for 1.5 years, when I heard the news I felt as if I were in a B movie. It was surreal. My gynecologist, Bud Kirker advised me to leave.

We had adopted an 8 month old dog from the shelter the day before, and Noodles hadn’t much training. Friends of ours had just moved to Philly so he could go to medical school. Since we had helped them move, we called and asked if Noodles and I could come and stay. They said yes and off we went.

My mother in law was president of the Humane Society of Lebanon County. She spent all her time making plans to get all the shelter animals to safety if TMI blew.
We were all very relieved when we found out the wind, which usually blows from west to east, had been reversed, so what was released went towards York.
Lebanon is only 10 miles from TMI, as the crow, or the radiation flies.
