I was an emergency room nurse. For the most part the ER was not busy and the hospital needed nurses to help transfer patients out of the area using ambulances to the Harrisburg airport. I did that for several days in the evening shift and transferred many patients out.
Never really thought about my safety just getting the patients out of the area.
I also volunteered on an ambulance and helped the ambulance with patient emergencies when they came up during the time.
